The Jean Marie's App has an awesome feature called Waitlist. The waitlist is a running list of items that are sold out in specific sizes or colors. 

 

If you have a waitlisted item, this means that the specific item, in the specific size or color, is currently sold out. However, it doesn't always mean that It is gone for good.

 

How it works

 

The item could be in someone else's cart, waiting for that customer to checkout and purchase the item. Sometimes, people don't checkout with that item because our cart time is only 1 hour. Therefore, items in the customer's cart will only be there for an hour until they are automatically bumped out and move to the next person's cart. 

 

If the customer does not check out, the item can fall into your cart because it is on your waitlist! Waitlisted items are tracked through the system and go in order by timestamp to make it fair to all who claimed. So, you may be on the waitlist for an item, but if it was a very popular item, you might not be first in line. The item will bump from cart to cart until someone decides to purchase the item.

 

However, if you want to make the waitlist even easier, make sure to PREAUTHORIZE your items! When you preauthorize an item, your card information is already saved. This allows the system to automatically charge your card for the item when it becomes available. So, if you love shopping and you aren't able to be on the app all the time, this will save you the hassle! This means you will not have to worry about checking your cart every 5 minutes, making sure the item was dropped into your cart. This also ensures that you won't lose the item in the process!

 

How To Preauthorize: 

 

1. Head to the bottom of your screen and tap your "waitlist" tab

2. At the bottom of each of the items in your waitlist, you will see a bar that says "PREAUTHORIZE NOW"

3. Once you tap on this bar, you will be asked to confirm your address and payment for that specific item

4. Check over all of these details and then hold the arrow and slide it across your screen to the right

5. You're done! No more waiting and worrying about waitlisted items!

 

Once you have preauthorized an item, the system will automatically charge your card when that item comes back into stock. Our fulfillment team will then get your order and begin packing it!  

 

For preauthorized items, the delivery method will depend on the last order placed before it. If you normally have your orders shipped, it will pick up on that, making your preauthorized order shipped to you. This also applied to orders that are placed for curbside pickup.
